1. Acknowledgement of Risk

The customer acknowledges and understands that vehicle performance tuning, ECU remapping, software calibration, and related performance modifications may increase the vehicle’s power, torque, throttle response, and overall performance output.

The customer accepts that these modifications may place additional stress on mechanical and electronic components, including but not limited to the engine, gearbox, clutch, drivetrain, turbocharger, fuel system, cooling system, exhaust system, and associated components.

By proceeding with the tuning service, the customer confirms that they understand the risks involved and accepts full responsibility for the effects of the modification.

2. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Faults

The customer confirms that the vehicle is in a good, safe, and roadworthy mechanical condition before any work is carried out by Limited Edition Tuning.

Limited Edition Tuning shall not be held responsible for any mechanical failure, electrical fault, wear and tear, breakdown, or damage that may occur during or after the tuning process where such issues are caused by pre-existing faults, weak components, poor maintenance, hidden defects, high mileage, previous modifications, or general vehicle wear.

The customer acknowledges that performance tuning may expose, worsen, or accelerate existing mechanical issues that may not have been visible or apparent before the tuning work was carried out.

3. Manufacturer Warranty & Servicing

The customer understands that software modifications, ECU remapping, and performance tuning may affect, limit, or invalidate the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty, extended warranty, finance agreement terms, lease agreement terms, or service contract.

Limited Edition Tuning accepts no responsibility for any denied warranty claim, loss of warranty coverage, manufacturer dispute, or any related financial loss.

The customer agrees that the vehicle must continue to be maintained correctly and serviced according to manufacturer recommendations. The customer also understands that a tuned vehicle may require more frequent maintenance due to increased performance output.

4. Legal Ownership, Insurance & Road Compliance

The customer confirms that they are the legal owner of the vehicle or have full permission from the legal owner to authorise the tuning or modification work.

The customer is fully responsible for informing their insurance provider of any modifications carried out to the vehicle.

The customer is also responsible for ensuring that the vehicle remains compliant with all applicable UK road laws, MOT requirements, emissions regulations, insurance requirements, and any other legal obligations.

Limited Edition Tuning provides tuning services for performance optimisation only and does not guarantee that the vehicle will meet any specific emissions, MOT, insurance, or road-legal requirement after modification.

5. Emissions, DPF, EGR, AdBlue & Off-Road Use

Where any emissions-related services, motorsport modifications, diagnostic solutions, or off-road calibrations are requested, the customer accepts full responsibility for ensuring that the vehicle is used only in a lawful manner.

Any service that affects emissions-control systems, including but not limited to DPF, EGR, AdBlue, OPF, GPF, catalytic converter, or related systems, must only be used where legally permitted, such as for off-road, motorsport, export, or diagnostic purposes.

Limited Edition Tuning does not accept responsibility for illegal road use, MOT failure, emissions non-compliance, fines, penalties, or enforcement action resulting from the customer’s use of the vehicle after modification.

6. Performance Figures & Results

Any power, torque, fuel economy, or performance figures provided by Limited Edition Tuning are estimates only.

Actual results may vary depending on the vehicle’s condition, mileage, fuel quality, engine health, hardware setup, environmental conditions, previous modifications, and testing method.

Limited Edition Tuning does not guarantee exact performance gains unless confirmed by controlled dyno testing before and after tuning.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Limited Edition Tuning shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or financial losses arising from or relating to the tuning or modification service.

This includes but is not limited to loss of vehicle use, recovery costs, repair costs, replacement parts, loss of income, failed MOT, insurance issues, warranty disputes, mechanical failure, or any third-party claims.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
